This directory is dedicated to an annual simulation of the SHYFEM model, performed on the Pilot Area 1, according to the setting provided by CNR-ISMAR, but with the following several differences: - time period: 2018-01-01::12:00:00 UTC - 2018-12-31::23:00:00 UTC - ihtype = 4 - iheat = 5 and itdrag = 0 - nomp = 8 and netcdf = 1 - Isonzo and Tagliamento rivers discharges according to Civil Protection of FVG data source; not bias-corrected) - discharge of the Livenza river set to the constant value found in AdriaClim, Deliverable 3.2.1 (88.3 m^3 s^-1) - marine boundary conditions according to CNR-ISMAR - marine initial conditions according to CMEMS (since initial conditions are not well suited for the domain of interest, the following operations were carried out, in order to expand the regular grid of initial conditions over the whole unstructured grid used for simulations: femelab -out -regexpand 0 TEMP_INIT_FILE.fem femelab -out -regexpand 0 SALT_INIT_FILE.fem) - meteorological forcing (wind components at 10 m and atmospheric pressure) according to WRF (CRMA) model on the AlpeAdria domain - heat "fluxes" (solar radiation, air temperature at 2 m, specific humidity at 2 m and cloud cover) at the surface, according to WRF (CRMA) model on the AlpeAdria domain.
